So, though Christmas-break was not what I expected it was still pretty cool. I had a nice mellow Christmas with just Mom, GP and the Salster. It sure was quiet with no kids, but good to know that Santa still finds his loyal followers no matter how old they are.
I got to spend almost a week of quality time with these lovely ladies, who I can never get enough of.
This is our handy-work/decimation of some super fabulous desserts in Sunny San Diego.
It was really great to go to the beach. We even saw some whales migrating.
It was also great to go down to Tijuana a couple of times to get to know Sally’s Eter (and his family) better. This is the remnants of a bag of churros I bought at the border crossing.
As you can see, they were not low-fat, and to be honest, not that delicious either—too cold/soggy. Better luck next time—oh yes, there will be a next time.
Also, let’s all just note how long my hair is. Don’t expect it to stay this way for long. I’ve got plans up my sleeve.
In other news, in just a day or two I will start teaching my first ever college class—what!? How did this become my life? I’ll be teaching an Elementary Education, Arts Integration class at the SUU extension branch in glamorous Richfield once a week. It’s a good opportunity and should be fun—and hopefully worth the pay.
Except that it just took me 20 min to try and get all these pictures up. Why does my 12 year-old niece’s blog look so much cooler than mine? Come on WordPress, you are really bugging me.
